Jammu and Kashmir Police suspends Davinder Singh over terror links

Jammu and Kashmir Police suspended accused DSP Davinder Singh on Wednesday over Hizbul Mujahideen terror links.

Jammu and Kashmir Police officer Davinder Singh, who was arrested for ferrying two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists, was suspended from the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday.

Srinagar, January 15, 2020:Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh on Deputy SP Davinder Singh said, "He [Davinder Singh] has been suspended, we are recommending his sacking to the government. Cannot share right now what has been revealed during the interrogation."

Police had arrested Devinder Singh, a deputy superintendent of police (DSP), at Mir Bazar in Kulgam on Sunday, along with Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists Naveed Baba, a district commander of the banned outfit, and Altaf.

A lawyer, who was working as an overground worker for terror outfits, was also arrested.
