Massive Fire Breaks Out in Jogeshwari, Mumbai

Mumbai, January 22, 2020: A major fire broke out in a two-storey commercial structure in Adarsh Nagar, New Link Road, Jogeshwari (W) Mumbai, recently, said Sirajuddin Shaikh, the Managing Director of Electorgrapics Sign Pvt.Ltd.

Mr. Sirajuddin Shaikh told the Eastern Crescent that no serious injury took place in the incident and he confirmed that the fire, at first broke out in an electric duct of a machine in the ground floor which later spread to the upper floor too.

He said, “There were around fifty people inside the building at the time of the incident since it was a regular working day but after noticing the flames and the smoke all of them safely came out of the building. Though the workers operated all the fire-fighting systems inside the building but the fire was out of control and covered the entire structure in the shortest span of time.”

After around 50 minutes the fire brigade team reached to the spot and doused the blaze but the fire already has destroyed everything in the building.

In the conflagration, a portion of the structure collapsed, and it caused a major loss of around Rs 1.25 crore including electric installations, household articles, a godown full of newly formed and ready products, on the upper floor and all the machines in the ground floor.
