Qur'anic Dua - 08 (English)

Qur'anic Dua - 10 (English)

Translation:

Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to faith, [saying], 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and make us die with the virtuous.

Explanation:

This dua is mentioned in Surh Aal Imran Ayah No. 193.

For sins, two words are mentioned in this dua, Zunoob and Saiyyiyat, as per the interpreters of the Quran, either Zunoob means major sins and Saiyyiat means minor sins or Zunoob means the sins which relate to rights of Allah like salah, fast, Haj, Zakah etc and Saiyyiyat means what relate to the rights of people.

Praying for the death with righteous people means wishing to live in the company of righteous and pious people in the Hereafter.
