Translation:
You are our protector, so, forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the Best of forgivers. And grant us good things both in this life and in the Hereafter, indeed we have turned to You.
Explanation:
This dua is mentioned in Surah Aaraf Ayah No. 155 and 156.
This is the supplication of prophet Moosa (as). When he took 70 people of his community Banu Israel to Tur Mountain, Allah Almighty talked to him verifying the orders of Taurah, but Banu Israel denied to accept those orders as divine orders saying how can we believe that it was the voice of Allah unless we can see Allah with our own eyes, then Allah ruined them by the thunderstorm and earthquake due to their transgressing attitude.
After that, Prophet Moosa (as) requests Allah to make them alive saying that the community people will think that he had conspired against them to kill them, so then they may even kill him for that, thus possibly entire community will be away from the right path. He added, O, Lord, would you destroy all of them for what some of the foolish among them have done? At that moment prophet Moosa (as) did the above dua too and finally Allah Almighty granted his dua and made them alive.
To get forgiveness, mercy and goodness in both the worlds, we should read this dua.
